Below are the general Terms and Conditions applicable for services provided by Career Key.
CV Writing -
Our CV writing service is provided by Career Key ("we" or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the "Terms").
The Service includes the creation of a customised, replicated, amended or rewritten CV based on the information provided by the customer (the "Customer").
Types of Service -
Hands Off - This service requires minimal input from the customer and the Company take on full responsibility for the creation of a new CV using the source material provided by the Customer. A draft copy will be sent to the Customer within the timeframes outlined in Clause 4. Revisions can then be requested and amendments made by the Company. One further revision is then offered to the Customer, any additional revisions are chargeable - see Clause 6 below for further detail.
Collaborative - This service requires input from the Customer throughout the process. The Customer should be engaged and forthcoming with input and insight to aid the Company with the CV writing process. A shared Google Doc is used and permissions to access the document are strictly controlled by the Company. Once completed, a separate copy of the document will be provided to the Customer in both Doc and PDF format. Timescales for this service are agreed in advance between the Company and Customer in writing and for the avoidance of doubt - once the Customer signs off the final CV version, only one further revision is included, and additional revisions are chargeable.
Timescales - The estimated completion time for a standard version of this Service is 5 business days from receipt of payment. This can be altered or revised with the prior written consent of the Company at any time.
Revisions - We will make one revision to the CV at no additional charge, provided that the revisions are based on the initial information provided by the Customer and do not require significant additional research or writing.
Chargeable revisions include
Minor - Short text rewords, style changes, language corrections, changes to titles, dates or general info.
Major - Longer text rewords, changes to entire passages or text, changes to entire CV stying, additional sections added.
Payment -
Payment for the Service must be made in full and in advance of any work being started. We currently can only accept payment via Bank Transfer.
Invoices are payable within 7 days of the Invoice date.
We will only commence work on the Customer's CV upon receipt of payment. The estimated completion time for a standard version of this Service is 5 business days from receipt of payment. This can be altered or revised with the prior written consent of the Company at any time.
Importantly, we do not guarantee any specific results from the use of the Service, including but not limited to being offered a job or receiving a specific salary.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any Customer for any reason.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and us and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether oral or written.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK Consumer Rights Act, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision in these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision unless acknowledged and agreed to by us in writing.
Complaints - Please direct any complaint to our team in writing to james@career-key.co.uk during normal business hours. When a complaint is received, the full details will be recorded in the Complaint Log and a response will be made to the Customer within 5 working days.
Where the complaint is of a more complex nature and requires further investigation, the customer will be contacted within 5 working days and advised of this. The customer will be given an indication of how soon a full response will be made. Where it is not possible for a complaint to be resolved, the customer will be given a clear explanation in writing.
We aim to resolve complaints within a timescale of 7 working days. If this is not possible because a full investigation has not yet been completed, a progress report will be sent to the complainant.
